Week 5 - Blocking a Vanilla Dog Walk
again, two sloan poses "in motion"
my mentors critique for the left pose was:
- bring the frontleft leg down, like this it looks like it's diving
he liked the right pose but said, that the left backleg has to be more dog - z-shaped
now: the vanilla blocking:
- bring front legs more together
- make shape of legs clearer
- when front legs reaching forward, make them reach more forward
- when front legs are kicking off, bring them not so much forward
- take care of the hip-pop that occures in front view
here is the new blocking:
to-dos in this version:
- feet are intersecting. to stop that, bring the back legs outside the front legs
- elbows are sticking out too much. bring the pole vector for the elbows in.
- front leg is reaching out too far forward, tone this down a little
THEN: HAPPY SPLINING :D

Week 1 - Full Body Walks Part 1
Yay, we're working with Stella, from now on :D
The assignment was to create two dynamic poses, that show movement.
---
Critique from my new mentor:
Sketches are good, on the left pose with the Bo I should drop the front elbow down and straighten the back leg.
On the pose with the Snowboard I should turn the hips to an other angle then the soulders are to create a more interesting pose and the screen left knee doesn't read, so I have to turn the leg.
Aaand lifting the shoulder of course:

Week 8 - Introduction to Walks
This Week was about the most normal walk. One step is taking exactly 1 second on average, that means 24 frames.
We had to do one vanilla walk blocking, the planning thumbs of it, the revision of tailor, last week and a stupose. My mentor said in Q&A: Oh, this week you have not much to do. Maybe you can revise another assignment again.
:D
Oh, man.
Okay, here's my stuff:
Tailor once again (it's still not good enough, too much even spacing)

Week 5 - Overlapping Action
Already in week 5, woah.
To get along with arms and tails, this week was about overlapping action. We started small and had to animate a pendulum which is dragged by a platform.
Here is my planning:
And my animation:
Another task was the devastation pose of stu:

Week 4 - Introduction to Timing and Spacing
This week we had two exercices:
1. to revise the bouncing ball of last week
2. to plan and animate a light and a heavy ball in the same scene
Here is my revised Basketball
My beachball is too floaty and the spacing is too even, so I have to redo it, but for now:
